Technical Skills Bowl 2008

Welcome to Technical & Industrial Studies’ 5th Annual Technical Skills Bowl, sponsored by NMSU-DACC and SpaceTEC.
The Technical Skills Bowl, held annually at Doña Ana Community College in Las Cruces, NM, allows area high school students the chance to compete in various career and technical related challenges and win some really cool prizes. However, the primary goal is to introduce them to college life and available programs in an effort to encourage them to pursue post-secondary education.
By reaching them while still in high school, we let them know what they can do now to prepare for success in college. We also try to reach those students who are not considering college, or who dream of going to college but think they can’t due to financial or other reasons. Not only do we provide them an opportunity to explore their options, we let them know that they indeed have options to explore.
