Choose a Major

It can be a difficult and confusing process choosing a major. That's why there are specific campus resources designed to help. Many times the process begins with getting to know yourself better, then finding a career and major that matches you. Computer-based career tests through our career counselors are a good place to start. These resources will help you decide:

- Research job outlook for careers of interest at Career Placement/Co-op Office, DACC Main Building, Room 99, (575) 527-7538 or at NMSU Career Services, Garcia Annex 224, (575) 646-1631.
- Discuss majors with an academic advisor at the DACC Academic Advising Center, DACC Main Building, Room 116, (575) 528-7272.
- Discuss a major with a DACC faculty member who teaches in your area of interest.
