Tutorial:  Designing a WebCT Homepage and adding simple tools/links
  • In this tutorial, you will learn how to design your WebCT site homepage.  You will also learn how to add simple tools and links, such as linking an icon to an outside URL or adding a tool for students to access grades.

 

Tutorial:  Adding Content to a WebCT Course
  • In this tutorial you will learn how to add your own materials to your WebCT site, such as a syllabus, lecture notes, etc.  You will find instructions for linking materials as single pages, or organizing them into a content module.

Tutorial:  Using FrontPage to create your own materials

  • In this tutorial, you will learn how to use some simple features in FrontPage, a web page editor.  For example, you will learn how to create tables, insert pictures, create a link to your email address, etc.

Tutorial:  Managing Students in a WebCT Course
  • In this tutorial, you will learn how to manage student grades in WebCT.  You will learn how to add columns into which you can plug in grades, as well as add columns that will calculate points earned and/or current percentage.

 

Tutorial:  Assignments Tool in WebCT

  • In this tutorial you will learn how to use the assignments tool in WebCT.  This tool allows students to submit work online through a tool that some regulation as to when the work is due.  It also adds a column to the course management system and automatically fills in grades as assigned by the instructor.

Tutorial:  Creating a Quiz or Survey in WebCT

  • In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a quiz and/or survey in WebCT.  You will also be given information about Respondus, a software package that allows you to create banks of questions offline and then load them into your WebCT.

  Tutorial:  Using the Student Presentation Tool
  • In this tutorial, you will learn what the student presentation tool is and how it can be used.  In brief, it is a tool that allows students or groups of students to post their work for the whole class to see.
