After beginning at Dona Ana Community College as a part time instructor in Fall 2001, I was selected in October 2002 to serve as the Program Coordinator for Hospitality Services. In July 2003 I was promoted into the Department Chair role in the newly formed Business & Marketing Department. My move into a teaching role came after 25+ years in the hospitality and health care industries, a BS, an MPA and experience in US and International operations. I consider myself fortunate that I can apply lessons learned in the business world to both my administrative role and my teaching duties here at Dona Ana Branch Community College.
Students can expect me to be fair and equitable in my classroom as well as interested in their futures and well-being. I consider teaching as a means of preparing the future generation of hospitality leaders. My classes are very practical and give students the skills they will need to excel in the working world.
