Program Functions
- Providing career counseling including CHOICES online, assistance with decision making, values clarification, referral to resources, exploring barriers to choosing careers, and assessment devices to help with making career choices. Individual and group counseling services responsive to a diverse student population experiencing ongoing or situational psychological/behavioral difficulties.
- Providing crisis intervention and emergency coverage through re- sponsive intervention and referral through cooperative arrangements with appropriate community resources.
- Providing individual and group counseling services responsive to a diverse student population experiencing ongoing or situational psychological/behavioral difficulties.
- Responding to academic concerns requested by the student through counseling services.
- Providing developmental needs seminars/classes focused on maximizing student academic and personal potential.
- Providing services to faculty and staff of Doña Ana Community College for professional development and awareness conducive to the appropriate response to students and related referral services.
- Food Bank assistance when requested, along with outside community referral for long term assistance.
